If you ever worked late (well, I call working till 8pm late)... and wandered around in central.
You'd have to be so damn unusual (read: important, getting a door-to-door pick-up service from work) to have missed those troops of "photographers" and their "assistants" taking pictures of the soon to be newly weds.
No sour grapes intended.
Not ready to make commitments like that, yet.
But seriously, what's with the posing on peds crossings in full makeup and prolly a rented gown at night?
Though it would only be more annoying if this was to happen during daytime.

If you ever walk by the legislative council building at night, besides our friends from the mainland who seem to be rather busy taking pictures, you should also see these kind of lovebirds, lots of them.
Try to avoid seeing them by quickly going into the big green coffee shop to wake yourself up right before going to bed, then before you know it, they're taking pictures outside the coffee shop!
Couple of shots later, they would actually COME into the shop and start shooting away.
I'm not familiar with the protocols, but none of them would get anything and they would just be using the cafe as a background like its a public good?!
Maybe this has happened too many times already that the staff don't give an F anymore or they're purely kind-hearted.
In a world like this where divorce rate is well above 50% and climbing, it's good to see people who still believe in marriage and are proving to the rest of the world this fact. So let's just be nice and let them enjoy it.
I'm biased, yes, but taking pictures on the street is too much already now they're just friggin everywhere!!!!
Why don't you guys be more creative and try something new?
Like shooting at mcdonald's with the groom in tux and the bride in an LBD?
(This can only be done when they're giving away ugly toys. I wanna go and get my happy meals when they have cute toys! So stay away when there's maruko toys! Plz!)

They don't believe in marriage, they just love seeing themselves in the PSed pictures being "beautiful" and "loved"...(oh, that sounds so bitter XDD)
what a coincidence..i think i hv written on the same thing before..at your place or some other bloggers'? oh i could not remember, i only remembered that last time when i wrote, i lamented why brides are often so 濃妝/醜樣 (the 尖酸刻薄me, sisters don't follow me..)
this is an too-familiar sight when i get off from work...it's like i'm getting numbed..so hk-er tend to jump onto the bandwagon..and everything is getting friggingly 老土..repeat again 老土. that's the real problem.
are u making a worldwide trip? how come in less than a month, u hv shifted from NZ to hk? haha..

btw... what you guys have seen is not the worst part...
My friend who is in wedding planning told me, the worst is who some gals have seen the photos, they would ask the photographers to make them photo-perfect with photo-shop...

g: I don't remember exactly, but it's more likely that I haven't read it here. :) the makeup is okay but the whole thing is just a bit over the top. Posing on the peds crossings at night... Might as well be taking pictures on buses or ferries or metros...

I once seeing pics of the newly weds posing right in the middle of Queen St & Wellesley St crossing, during day time.... scary shit!
that IS scary shit! No kiddin! No wonder the city council has given us more time to cross by installing a minuter!!!! Council rates well used!!!! Abso-friggin-lutely no waste!!! Such gud service!
