Hong Kongers in New Zealand
Dr Manying Ip will analyse the characteristics of the Hong Kong migrants in New Zealand in the recent decades, and their socio-economic profile. She will also focus on their "returnee" and "transnational" movements, and the future challenges to Hong Kongers, in light of flexible citizenship as "global citizens". Dr Ip is Associate Professor in the School of Asian Studies of University of Auckland.

i hate to say this, but i've met man-ying in person at conferences, and interestingly enough, i'd never seen her before at uni... she didn't seem to get my jokes... maybe my jokes weren't funny. fine.

oh... and ppl have to go to work. who's going to a talk at 4.30pm on a work day anyway... students would probably go to game centre of catch up on beauty sleep -___-'

:D exactly! that is quite a weird time, but i guess some students would go as they are "forced" to attend these events. XD
