法棍 vs 油條

我常說我媽才是法國人,因家中的法棍通常只有她一個人吃得最多。
並且她是那種用麵包把盤子上的醬汁全部都再刮一遍,並吃得津津有味的人。

法棍之於法國人猶勝油條之於中國人。
油條,好吃在於兩端。

今日,發現,原來法棍也是。
if you look around, you will most likely spot two cut havles of a frest baguette peeping out of a bag. they will hae been cut by the baker so that they take up less room in the bag. if you look again a few minutes later, one of the cut ends will have disappeared leaving a jagged tear. the time taken to tear the end off a baguette and eat it is a function of the hunger, but especially the willpower, of the person carrying it. very, very few baguette carriers reach their stop with their bread untouched1.
